Mr. Freitag joined RuggedCom at the beginning of 2012 as the company's General Manager. Mr. Freitag has about 14 years experience in energy, automation as well as in the communication business. Prior to joining RuggedCom, Mr. Freitag was Chairman of the world-wide organization PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI). Prior to PI Mr. Freitag worked
for Siemens and held management roles in Engineering, Service & Support
and Marketing. He studied electrical engineering at the University of
Nuremberg (Germany) and has a Master of Business and Engineering
(MBE) at the University of Hagen (Germany).
Mr. Simpson joined Ruggedcom in October 2011 as the Vice President of Operations. Mr. Simpson has over 25 years in the electronics industry in both product development and advanced manufacturing services. Prior to joining RuggedCom, Mr. Simpson served as SVP of Operations for SMTC, a mid-tier Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) Company where he managed the worldwide operations; Mexico, Asia, USA and Canada. Over his 14 year career with SMTC, Mr. Simpson held roles in Engineering and Operations Management, experienced in developing solutions for the complex manufacturing needs of customers in the telecom, computer, and industrial space. Prior to SMTC, Mr. Simpson worked in RF product development for over 14 years with Aironet Wireless, formerly Telesystems SLW, a successful Canadian hi-tech start-up company, specializing in RF based spread spectrum communications products. Mr. Simpson holds a Certified Engineering Technologist diploma from Algonquin College.
Mr. Heel joined RuggedCom at the beginning of March 2013 as the company’s Vice President of Research & Development. Mr. Heel has more than 14 years
of experience in R&D and Product Management positions in several countries within the Industry Sector of Siemens. Prior to joining RuggedCom, Mr. Heel was the Head of R&D at one of Siemens China locations in Nanjing and most currently he lead the “Technology & Innovation” Team within the Strategy Department of the Drive Technology Division of Siemens Industry Sector.
He studied electrical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (Germany) and has a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Slinowsky joined RuggedCom in March 2010 and is the Vice President of Marketing responsible for product and brand marketing as well
as strategic planning and product management. Prior to joining
RuggedCom, Mr. Slinowsky held the position of Director of Product Management for Powerwave Technologies. Jim's experience also includes his own consulting business and a long and varied career with Nortel Networks, including multiple senior engineering and management roles in the switching, optical and wireless product areas. Mr. Slinowsky holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and is a registered professional engineer in Ontario.
