RuggedCom Receives Record Purchase Order Totalling Approximately $US 1 Million
for an Electric Power Application in India

RuggedCom Inc. (“RuggedCom”) (TSX:RCM), a leading provider of rugged communications networking solutions designed for mission-critical applications in harsh environments, today announced that it has received a purchase order totalling approximately $US 1 Million for an electric power application in India. This order represents the largest single purchase order ever received by RuggedCom and is expected to be shipped in Q2 2008, with expected follow-on orders later in the year.

RuggedCom products and solutions were selected for this mission critical application after a rigorous and extensive selection process among several global suppliers by a leading R&D institution in India. The selected products and solutions include a combination of Ethernet switches, media converters, applications software and professional services.
