Our Products/ RuggedMAX™/ WiN5100
Product Information
The WiN5100 is a member of the RuggedMAX™ family, a line of mobile WiMAX broadband wireless access systems based on the 802.16e mobile WiMAX standard. WiN5100 is a high-performance subscriber unit designed for vehicular operation, that provides complete 802.16e mobile WiMAX broadband wireless access functionality by standard ETH cable. The automatic switching and monitoring features guarantee on-going operation in changing conditions which results in low maintenance and considerable savings in OPEX.
The WiN5100 enables a number of mobile services including telephony, data, Video-on-Demand over the WiMAX network. The WiN5100 Vehicular subscriber unit is connected to the vehicle’s electricity through DC power connector with an input range of 10-30V.
The WiN5100 is based on the IEEE 802.16e standards to effectively meet the unique requirements of the wireless Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) environment and to deliver broadband access services to a wide range of customers. Specifically designed for point-to-multipoint broadband wireless access applications, the WiN5100 provides efficient use of the wireless spectrum, supporting a range of user environments. The access and bandwidth allocation mechanisms accommodate hundreds of subscriber units per sector, supporting differentiated services to multiple end user types.
